Hello, do you happen to know of any church in the South Mpls. area or Richfield, that offers bereavement support groups? I am having a hard time finding them, or maybe you can point me in the right direction. I lost my dad in Jan. and my sister in Feb. Thank you so kindly, Barbara

I'll put the call out to the pastors I know. Are you preferential to a particular faith tradition or denomination?

Hi Barbara, Thank you for your comment and sorry for your loss. I was able to find a few groups for you: Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis has a grief support group that can be reached at 612-927-7335. Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley also has a grief support group that meets the 3rd Sunday of each month at 11:15am the phone number there is 763-231-2965. Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington has a grief share that meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm and can be reached at Robin Kirton 651-210-1962. I would also check out this website http://www.mplsgriefsupport.com. Also we have a social worker that works in the Richfield area if you would like to call Deb 952-888-7121. I hope this helps! Warmest Regards, Melissa Senior Community Services
