Senior Community Services
Senior Community Services is a local nonprofit that was founded in 1950, and has been responding to the needs of elderly and their families with Caregiver Support Services, Frail Elder Support Services, and Supporting Positive Aging. Families usually provide most of the care for their elders. The services that the programs of Senior Community Services provide assist these families as well as the care giving friends and neighbors with knowledge, resources, and coping strategies. The mission and vision of Senior Community Services is to identify, develop, coordinate, and provide services that help meet the needs of people 55 and older in order to enhance the independence involvement, opportunities, and quality of life of older adults in our communities. The programs of SCS are: H.O.M.E., Senior Outreach, Medicare & Health Insurance Counseling, Senior Partners Care, Bus Tours, 6 affiliate Senior Center, and CareNextion.
