<b>Elissa Cottle </b>has published poems in <i>Southwest Journal</i>, <i>Minnesota Poetry Calendar, Between The Lakes, Tipton Poetry Journal, Main Channel Voices, </i><i>rock, paper, scissors </i>and a poetry excerpt in our Patch. A free-lance journalist and Hamline MFA writing candidate, she teaches “Creating a Writing Life” and is editor of <i>News of Now, </i>Lake Harriet School online newspaper. The name News of Now was created by Maddie, student staff. Cottle is aka The Dainty Elephant, Organizing, Public Relations and Fund Raising Consultant; volunteer PPMNS fund raiser; volunteer Population Connection lobbyist; & a basketball coach for SW kids. As a girl she conducted the Minnesota Orchestra to movements of Mozart's g minor and Schubert's Unfinished. She loves the name Gwendolyn but it was a perfect boy, twice.
