Greggo Magnets Celebrates 15 Years
The Southwest Minneapolis business has created custom magnets for 15 years.
From his office at 43rd Street and Nicollet Avenue, Greg Sargent sells magnets everywhere from Memphis to Hong Kong. His business, Greggo Magnets, is celebrating its fifteenth birthday this year, a success Sargent credits to his art background and 'not wanting to fail." His magnets, which he only sells wholesale, have been sold in conjunction with traveling exhibits by the BBC or in the gift shops of local museums like The Walker Art Center Gift Shop and the Minnesota Science Museum. Sargent was trained in Industrial Design at the Pratt School of Design and after graduating worked in the auto and toy industries for 15 years as an industrial and package designer.
