Drunken Man Steals Pizza From Pizza Lucé

A roundup of burglaries, thefts, and other property crimes in Southwest Minneapolis.

July 10 A drunken St. Cloud resident who said he was in town visiting friends was cited for taking a pizza from the Lyndale Avenue Pizza Lucé restaurant. Officers canvassed houses on the 4800 block of Colfax Avenue South after a Minnetonka resident said her stolen phone’s GPS indicated it was in the area.   July 9 Officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Thomas Avenue South around 4 a.m. on a report of a burglary in progress. Police couldn’t find a suspect, but found that a door to the house had been opened and “burglary tools” were abandoned next to the house in question. A garage on the 3300 block of Calhoun Parkway was burgled overnight. A car was stolen overnight from the 3300 block of Grand Avenue. A customer at the Milio’s …

Wow, multiple bike thefts last week! My own bike was stolen over the weekend from right outside my apartment building, where it was locked. To avoid a similar experience, be sure to store your bikes in your apartments, sheds or garages, if at all possible.   more ›
