SW Minneapolis Store In Salmonella Recall

Southwest Minneapolis' Cub Foods is among the many national retailers left scrambling to pull products off its shelves after Nestle announced that a batch of its chocolate milk mix products could be contaminated by Salmonella bacteria. 40.7-ounce, 21.8-ounce, and 10.9-ounce containers of NESQUIK Chocolate Powder are all the subject of a voluntary recall by the food conglomerate. According to a statement published on the Food and Drug Administration website, one of Nestle's suppliers revealed that supplies of calcium carbonate used in the drink mix could be contaminated with the bacteria. The FDA suggests consumers check their boxes of NESQUIK that have a "best by" date of October 2014, although only containers with these product codes are …
