Dan Pratt Supporters Begin Online Petition

The Washburn High School athletic director is rumored to be fired soon in connection with the purchase of a new playing-field scoreboard.

Last update: 12:38 p.m. Monday, April 8. See below. Hundreds are showing their support for Washburn High School Athletic Director Dan Pratt Monday, as rumors of his firing swirl around the community. Not only are students, alumni and community members participating in a demonstration at the school today, an online petition has been started on Change.org. The petition is titled: "Athletic Director Dan Pratt: Remain as the Athletic Director at Washburn High school," and more than 200 supporters had signed the petition by 10:30 a.m. Monday. Jabs, a student at Benilde-St. Margaret's School, sustained a spinal cord injury in December 2011. Since then his story has inspired hockey lovers in the state and U.S.

This article focuses on Jack Jablonski, a Benilde-St. Margaret's School (BSM) hockey player who was injured in an on-ice incident in December 2011. Ex-Southwest High Baseball Star Quinlan Milne Rojek Sets College Record

Quinlan Milne Rojek became the first Dominican University player to hit for the cycle, with three singles, a double, a triple and a home run on Saturday.

  Former Southwest High School baseball standout set a school record at Dominican University in Illinois Saturday, hitting for the cycle in the first game of a double-header with Millikin University, according to D3Baseball.com: Freshman Quinlan Milne Rojek (Minneapolis, Minn.) had a historic day for the Stars in game one, becoming the first player in program history to hit for the cycle as he went a perfect 6-for-6 with three singles, a double, a triple and a home run. After singling in his first three at-bats, Milne Rojek blasted a solo home run to right with one out in the top of the sixth. Washburn Girls Basketball Advances to State Championships

Millers squeezed out a win against Minnehaha Academy this weekend.

Less than a week after the Washburn High School boys basketball team lost a crucial game against Richfield High School, shutting them out of the state tournament, the Washburn girls picked up the championship baton with a 59-52 win over Minnehaha Academy. The Friday, Mar. 8 victory secures the Millers a spot in the state girls high school basketball tournament. According to the Star Tribune, the Millers opened a lead over the Eagles in the first half, leaving their opponents trailing 35-29, and managed to hold off their opponents through the second half.
