Please Leave your Pets Home When it is Hot Out
Thinking of bringing your pet with you this summer on your daily errands? Think again! A car, even with the windows cracked, can be a very dangerous place for your furry friend! Read on to learn more.
It's getting hot outside! This is a common sense warning to keep your dog out of hot cars. The temperature in a car that is in the sun with the windows rolled up will be 20-30 degrees hotter then it is outside. This means that if it is 70 degrees outside, it can be 90-100 degrees in the car. Too hot for a pet with a fur coat on! Keep your dog at home on hot days when you know you will need to be running errands and your dog will be in the car.
