Bring your instrument and rock in a band! Youth, Teen and Girl Powered-Rock campers learn about starting a band, band rehearsals, song selection, song writing and stage performance. For over 40 years we have helped children ages 2-6 have their best summer ever! Activities include swimming, pony rides, farm chores, cooking, nature exploration, stories, games, music, riding toys, and art projects. Each age group has their own inside air conditioned space which is used for those rainy days and indoor activities. Age appropriate materials are provided for each age group. Farm chores include; feeding the goats, chickens, rabbits and ponies, brushing the ponies, watering and helping maintain the vegetable and flower gardens.

9 a.m. – Noon Ages: Students entering grades 3 - 7 Explore your inner actor! Students attending BSM’s Drama Camp will explore a variety of theater-related activities, including pantomime, vocal performance, auditioning skills, movement/choreography, and stage makeup. All participants will receive a T-shirt and instruction from current theater department staff as well as recent theater department graduates. A performance showcasing skills learned will be held on the final day of camp.

Spend the day in the sun out by the lake - the way a Minnesota summer should be! Paddle your way across Cedar Lake in a kayak, exploring the shores for wild life. Then grab your fishing pole and catch “the big one.” Retreat to the beach for some relaxation and splashin’ fun! All equipment included, but don’t forget to wear your swimsuit and to bring your towel, sunscreen and a sack lunch. Pick-up locations are at Inver Grove Middle School, South St. Paul High School and Moreland Elementary School.

Pedal your way across town as guides lead you on a scenic 24 mile bike tour around the Minneapolis Lakes. Travel through downtown, across the Stone Arch Bridge, to the U of M where you will stop for lunch. Continue on your adventure to Minnehaha Falls where you will have a chance to stop and gaze at it’s beauty. Please bring your bike, helmet, sunscreen and sack lunch. Pick-up locations include: Inver Grove Heights Middle School, South St. Paul High School and Moreland Elementary School, WSP.

Registration is now open for Adventures in Cardboard's Summer Workshops 2013. We have five amazing weeks to offer for the summer. 1) Two weeks of old favorites at Powderhorn Park: Faerie Houses, Mazes, Cardboard Boats, with a special event added this year: "Venice in Powderhorn: Cardboard Boat Regatta and Giant Floating City". 2) And an expansion of the all-time favorite Castle Adventure! We'll spend entire days down on the beautiful wooded trails, prairie and lakeside beaches of Bryant Lake Regional Park, Eden Prairie. We'll be creating magnificent castles to explore, making suits or armor and designing live-action games based on fantasy or history. Swimming and canoeing will round out a complete day outdoors designed to kill any obsession with an iPad for at least a week! Though Bryant Lake Park is only 15 minutes from Minneapolis, Adventures in CB will run a daily school bus shuttle to and from Powderhorn Park, if you prefer this to driving.
