The Southwest football team picked up its second straight win on Friday, topping South 28-0 on the road in a Minneapolis City Conference matchup.
The Lakers broke up a scoreless tie in the second half with three third quarter scores. They picked up another touchdown in the fourth quarter to take a commanding 28-0 lead and never looked back.
The win keeps Southwest one game behind Washburn atop the conference standings.

Southwest (3-3, 3-1 Minneapolis City Conference) has outscored its opponents 69-8 in its past two games since losing to Duluth Denfeld on Sept. 29. The Lakers hope to keep that dominance going on Friday, Oct. 14 against Henry/West Metro. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
