Millers take 27-0 halftime lead en route to a 40-12 home win on Thursday.
The Minneapolis Washburn football team got its season off on the right foot by means of a 40-12 defeat of visiting Patrick Henry on Thursday night.
After topping the Patriots 38-6 last season, the Millers again put the game away early by taking a 27-0 halftime lead before allowing the visitors their first touchdown on their opening possession of the second half.
However, Washburn's grasp on the victory was never in doubt until the final horn sounded to proclaim that the Millers had indeed begun the season at 1-0.
