Southwest hosted Washburn in a Minneapolis City Conference girls tennis showdown at Pershing Park on sunny and warm Monday afternoon and came away with a 7-0 victory over their nearby rivals.

Claiming wins for the Lakers in singles play were: Anna Schwartz, Audrey Ortiz, along with captains Natalie Dolphin and Claire Mahoney.

In doubles, Southwest got its wins from the duos of: Helen Carroll/Sophie Breen, Emma Reid/Megan Leverenz and Isabelle Falk/Naja Woods.

Competing for the Millers in singles play were: Taylor Jackson, Rachel Heim, Ana Zembrycki and Anna Harincar.

The Washburn doubles squads consisted of: Izzy Brinker/Lia Gambucci, Penelope Lancrete/Emma Syring and Elle LaMere/Madeline Hillyer.
