Minneapolis Southwest Sends Three Alpine Skiers to State

Alex Hager led Southwest with a 13th place finish for the boys.

Three members of the Minneapolis Southwest boys and girls alpine skiing teams competed Wednesday at the state meet in Biwabik.

Freshman Molly Carolan finished 49th overall on the girls side with a two-run time of 1:23.6. Her teammate, Anika Hager, finished her two runs with a combined time of 1:46.6.

On the boys side, Morgan Shields finished 75th overall on the day. His two-run total was 1:37.3. Southwest's Alex Hager finished 13th with a two-run time of 1:09.75.
