Game of the Week: Southwest faces Hopkins in Girls Soccer Playoff Action

The Lakers face third seed Hopkins in the first round of the section 6AA playoffs.

ON THE LINE
The Lakers, who finished second in the Minneapolis City Conference for the second straight year after winning the 2009 title, face third seed Hopkins in the first round of the section 6AA playoffs. Southwest played well down the stretch, finishing 3-1-3 in their final seven contests. The Royals had eight games against top ten ranked teams, finishing 1-4-3 in those contests.

The sophomore leads the Lakers in goals and assists.

Jenny Grahek – Hopkins goalie
The senior goalkeeper has allowed just 1.0 points per game and has six shutouts this year.

They continue to their strong defensive play. They have allowed just three goals in their last seven games and have eight shutouts this season.

ROYALS  WIN IF...
They can continue to put pressure on opposing goalkeepers. They have scored just four goals in their last ten games and have been shutout six times during that stretch.
