Watch Armatage Students Build Mosaic In One Minute

Temporary artwork was put together in eco-awareness initiative.

Ever think about how many plastic bottles you use in your daily life? Peanut butter, laundry detergent, water...you name it, there's probably a plastic bottle for it sitting in your recycling bin.

And what comes with those bottles? Caps, of course. Caps that, , couldn't be recycled in the Minneapolis municipal recycling program.

Partly funded by a grant, Eco Awesomeness student group worked with artist Hallie Bowman (who also installed two new, permanent mosaics at the school) to make a temporary installation on the gym floor using caps the school's families collected throughout the last school year.
