Southwest Student Alex Glaze Accepted to Stanford
Glaze, who won a $4,000 'Beat the Odds' scholarship in March, plans to attend in fall 2011.
In March, Patch covered the , a Southwest High School senior who has overcome great odds, including the overdose death of his mother, to excel at school and earn a $4,000 scholarship.
Now, Glaze has been accepted to Stanford University in the fall of 2011. He told us at the time of the last story that Stanford was his first choice and that he plans to attend law school after graduation.
