About 50 runners gathered Tuesday at Marathon Sports in Southwest Minneapolis for a loop around Lake Harriet in solidarity with their fellow runners and others affected by the explosions at the 2013 Boston Marathon, KSTP-TV reported:
"Lets try to think about what happened there and keep moving forward which I all think we do very well, and appreciate what we have," [Marathon Sports owner John] Long told the runners.
Long said some quick words, then runner Jon Kerzmann handed out "bibs" dedicated to Boston runners.
"Everyone knows someone who was there,” Kerzmann said.
The 50 or so runners gathered, were happy to pin them on, as a show of support.
