Southwest Sports Store is HQ for Runners Showing Support for Boston Marathon Victims
The Southwest Minneapolis shop is a regular Tuesday night meetup spot, but this Tuesday was special, KSTP-TV reported.
About 50 runners gathered Tuesday at Marathon Sports in Southwest Minneapolis for a loop around Lake Harriet in solidarity with their fellow runners and others affected by the explosions at the 2013 Boston Marathon, KSTP-TV reported:
"Lets try to think about what happened there and keep moving forward which I all think we do very well, and appreciate what we have," [Marathon Sports owner John] Long told the runners.
Long said some quick words, then runner Jon Kerzmann handed out "bibs" dedicated to Boston runners.
