Minneapolis Schools Open—For Now

School officials could change plans early Monday morning.

As of this writing, the Minneapolis Public Schools will be open on Monday.

That's according to the district's website at midnight on Sunday:

Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) will be in session and observe a normal schedule on Monday, December 10. Some buses may run late due to road conditions. Students who ride MPS buses or use Go-To Student Passes through Metro Transit should arrive at their bus stops at the regularly scheduled picked-up times.

If your child's regular bus stop is blocked by a snow plow-created mound of snow, school officials recommend that students wait at the nearest cleared corner, instead of on the snowbank or in the road, as the latter locations can be slippery and dangerous.

School officials may readjust their decision early Monday morning. Patch will update this story if MPS administrators change their minds.
