Local High Schoolers Play Downtown Parade

Southwest High School will perform in three more Holidazzle parades.

The end of Thanksgiving Day traditionally means the start of the Christmas season in Minneapolis, and as always, the city is marking the month with the Holidazzle parade. Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between now and Christmas, downtown Minneapolis' Nicollet Mall will be filled with bright lights and colorful parade floats—and musicians from Southwest High School.

Southwest's marching band opened the first Holidazzle parade on Friday, Nov. 23. In case you missed them, you still have three more chances to catch their parade performances this month and next.

The group will play Thursday, Nov. 29; Friday, Nov. 30; and Thursday, Dec. 6.
