George Crocker, Executive Director of the North American Water Office, will address "The Importance of Community Organizing for Developing Distributed Renewable Energy."
This is the first of two forums on Minnesota's Energy Future. The second one on "State and National Policies Needed for the Transition to Renewable Energy" will be November 1. The two forums will show that with the right policies, Minnesota's transition to clean energy can bring home a substantial portion of the $20 billion dollars currently sent out of state annually for fossil fuels.
The forums are cosponsored by the Institute for Local Self Reliance, Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light, Minnesota Renewable Energy Society, MN350.org, Oxfam America, Pew Environment Trust, Small Business Minnesota, Think Again MN, and the Will Steger Foundation.
