Thissen Asks Republicans to Release Their Budget Proposals
At the end of last week, House Minority Paul Thissen (DFL-Minneapolis) and Senate Minority Leader Tom Bakk (DFL-Cook) chewed over budget issues.
House Minority Leader Paul Thissen put some pressure on the Republican majority to release their budget recommendations promptly to allow public debate last week. He said the budget will still be a problem despite expectations of a more positive budget forecast (released today, which puts the deficit at just over $5 billion).
