Ron Paul To Make Campaign Stop Near Southwest Minneapolis

The candidate will speak one day before Minnesota's caucuses.

Ron Paul (R-TX) is coming to town. The firebrand GOP congressman and 2012 GOP presidential hopeful will take the stage for a campaign rally at the Minneapolis Convention Center Monday at 7 p.m. Paul has been campaigning in Minnesota since Saturday, and will come to Minneapolis shortly after finishing a 4 p.m. rally in St Cloud.

The campaign's website announced the event on Thursday.

The event comes one day before he, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney face off in the Minnesota caucuses. The caucuses won't bind Minnesota delegates to vote for Tuesday night's winner at the GOP convention later this year, but could give the winner a boost in the polls and in fundraising.
