The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is now accepting applications from Minneapolis residents for appointment to a two-year term on the Neighborhood and Community Engagement Commission (NCEC).  The role of the NCEC is to shape how the City engages residents and works with neighborhood and community organizations, as well as to oversee programming details and funding for neighborhood revitalization work.

The Minneapolis resident appointed by the MPRB serves voluntarily on the 16-member commission, of which the remaining representatives are selected by neighborhood organizations or appointed by the Mayor and City Council Members. The MPRB appointee term begins July 1, 2013 and expires June 31, 2015.
