Palmisano Announces Ward 13 Endorsements, Including Hodges'

Linea Palmisano is seeking to replace Betsy Hodges on the Minneapolis City Council, representing Southwest Minneapolis.

The woman whose job Linea Palmisano wants to have wants her to have it. 

Palmisano, the DFL Party-endorsed candidate for Ward 13 Mnneapolis City Council, announced Friday that Betsy Hodges, who currently holds that office, has endorsed her. 

Other endorsements announced in Palmisano's press release: 

Minneapolis Mayoral Candidate Mark Andrew, Representative Frank Hornstein, School Board Member Rebecca Gagnon, and Minneapolis Park Board Member Brad Bourn ... Current City Council Member and Former Minneapolis Mayoral Candidate Gay Schiff, City Council President Barb Johnson, Council Member Kevin Reich, Council Member Elizabeth Glidden, Council Member Lisa Goodman, Sentator Melisa Franzen, Senator Patricia Torres Ray, Senator Kari Dziedzic, and Representative Susan Allen

Hodges is running for mayor instead of seeking re-election. 

Earlier in the week, Matt Perry announced he is continuing his Ward 13 city council campaign, despite losing the DFL endorsement contest to Palmisano in May. 

Perry has served as Hodges' campaign treasurer, Southwest Journal reporter Nick Halter noted by tweet.
