Meet Your Candidates for Mayor at the State Fair

Two mayoral debates will be held during the State Fair.

Want to have some fun while getting to know your mayoral candidates? It looks like residents will have two upcoming opportunities during the State Fair.

The first candidate debate to be held at the State Fair will take place from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. This debate will be moderated by a professor at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, according to the Southwest Journal

The second debate will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, hosted by MPR. Gary Eichten, a retired MPR host, will be moderating this debate.

More than a dozen mayoral debates will take place in the coming weeks. There are 35 hopefuls who have filed for office.
