One person is dead after a small bus spun out and crashed on Interstate 394 at Park Place in St. Louis Park Wednesday morning. Passenger Charles Miranda, 89, of Minneapolis, died in the crash, the state patrol reports.

Tom Knoll has run more than 75,000 miles, enough to circle the world three times. He will make one more stop in Minnetonka to help Rose, an 11-year-old girl from Roseville who suffers from cerebral palsy, go to Disney World. His 24-hour run starts at noon on Saturday, July 14, at Minnetonka High School.
Tony Martin Caine, 6, drowned at Wirth Lake last Saturday. The boy was attending a birthday party with his family when the accident occurred.
Fire Destroys Townhome in Shakopee
One resident was transported by ambulance for smoke inhalation, according to Shakopee Fire Chief Rick Coleman. He also said a Bloomington firefighter suffered a knee injury while fighting the blaze and was transported by ambulance for treatment.
