City Postpones Annual Earth Day Cleanup

However, the Recycle Run is on whether it rain, snow or shine.

Due to yet another spring snow storm, the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board has postponed its annual Minneapolis Earth Day Clean-Up event, which was scheduled for Saturday, April 20.

However, the Recycle Run on Sunday will take place in rain, shine or snow. According to the MPRB:

The Recycle Run on Sunday, April 21, will take place rain, shine, or snow. The run was created to support sustainable park projects including the Earth Day Clean-Up. The event takes place around beautiful Lake Harriet in south Minneapolis. The 5K Run begins at 9am and is a chip-timed event. Participants are encouraged to bring their used running shoes and shirts. Items will be collected and recycled. More information can be found at www.minneapolisrecyclerun.com.
