On Sunday, one resident of the 6100 block of Nicollet Avenue South realized some important things had been stolen from her car.
It wasn't the usual iPod or satellite navigation system. It wasn't even change from the center console, either.
It was the five bolts that, under normal circumstances, conspire to keep her car's left rear wheel firmly in its place, attached to the axle.
According to a report of the incident filed by officers of the Minneapolis Police Department, no suspect has been identified so far. However, the victim told police that someone had previously tried to slash her front passenger tire, and that residents of a nearby apartment building do not get along with her. The victim said she'd contacted the building's managers about the issues, but nothing came of it.
