Trio of Fires Suspected As Arson

The incidents happened within 40 minutes of each other.

Minneapolis investigators suspect arson in three early-morning fires Sunday in South Minneapolis.

The fires happened within 40 minutes of each other in a seven-block radius of the city's Fifth Precinct. The first fire, reported at 1:40 a.m., was at 5637 and 5633 Dupont Ave. S. The next happened at 5745 and 5749 Pleasant Ave. S., and the last of them at 5808 Pleasant Ave. S. Estimated total damage is $35,000.

Minneapolis Police are working with little information and offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to arrests and convictions. Call the Arson Hot Line at (800) 723-2020.
