Local Man Charged in Edina Armed Robbery

Three men allegedly robbed acquaintances of money and electronics.

A trio of area residents are in Hennepin County Jail on charges of armed robbery in connection with an incident in Edina late last week.

Andrew Indelicato Peterson, 20, of Hopkins, Alkwan Kwame Lawson-Holiday, 21, of Minneapolis, and Anthony Pierre Willie Doss, 20, of Southwest Minneapolis, were arrested after allegedly robbing a residence in the 5700 block of Wooddale Avenue at gunpoint on May 19.

Molly Anderson, public information officer with the Edina Police Department, said this was not a random crime.

"The victims knew the suspects in this case," Anderson said.

Police allege Doss brandished a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at one of the victim's faces, demanding to know where electronics and money were located in the residence. Lawson-Holiday then allegedly produced a weapon of his own, according to reports, and led the same victim inside of the residence at gunpoint.

A second victim was inside of the home, when they said three men with laptops came inside and started demanding money. The men reportedly took a laptop, BB gun, several cell phones, a billfold and cash from the victims, then fled from the scene.

Edina police were able to locate the suspects' vehicle on Valley View Road, west of 69th Street. Officers conducted a felony stop and successfully placed all three men under arrest at the time. The victims positively identified the suspects, and a search of the vehicle found both the stolen property and two loaded handguns.

All three men are currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail for various charges. All three men have been charged with aggravated robbery and are being held on bail—$15,000 for Peterson, $40,000 for Lawson-Holiday and $75,000 for Doss—while Doss faces an additional charge of fleeing a police officer.
