Road Rage Driver Attacks Car on 1st Ave.

Police investigating morning rush-hour incident.

At the corner of 1st Avenue South and 35th Street East, one driver got a horrible surprise as she drove towards downtown Minneapolis Thursday morning.

About 10 minutes before 9 a.m., according to a report filed by officers with the Minneapolis Police Department, another driver on 1st Avenue was getting confused and upset by the Nicollet Avenue road construction. Deciding to vent his frustration on the first driver's front passenger-side door, he pulled up next to her, opened his car door, and slammed it into her car about five times.

He then sped off, with the first driver's pen scribbling furiously in pursuit as she tried to record his license plate information.
