Reward Offered in Lyndale Ave Carjacking

Victim beaten with high-heeled shoe.

Three weeks ago, a 60-year old Windom resident stood pressed against a fence on West 56th Street, .

A few minutes earlier on Aug. 25, around 1 p.m., three women visiting a renter at the Metro Inn Motel on the 5600 block of Lyndale Avenue South had just caused a riot in the motel's lobby. According to officers with the Minneapolis Police Department, motel employees had asked the renter if he intended to stay another night. The renter left, the three women came to the motel's office in a rage. Police haven't specified what got the women worked up, but the trio allegedly threw a coffee pot and other items in the office causing minor injury to both employees there.

Storming out of the Metro Inn, the women rounded the corner onto 56th street, and spotted the Windom resident getting out of her car. They demanded her keys, according to police, and then beat the woman with a high-heeled shoe when she refused and tried to run away.

Suffering from cuts to her head, and under threat of more violence, police say, the victim gave up her keys, and the trio sped off in her car. The 2000 tan Toyota Corolla was recovered early the next morning in Downtown Minneapolis.

Now, police and Crime Stoppers of Minnesota are offering a $1,000 reward for information that is vital to the case, or that could lead to the arrest of the three suspects. According to descriptions given out by police spokesperson Sgt. William Palmer:

The suspect who assaulted the carjacking victim is described as a black female, 20-25 years old, 5’05”, medium build with a “pretty face” and her hair pulled back, wearing a teal blue pullover shirt that revealed her midriff and jeans capri pants.  The second suspect is a black female in her mid-twenties, 5’03” tall with a stocky build wearing a white shirt with bright, possibly floral, print and dark pants.  The third suspect is a black female, also in her mid-twenties, 5’03” to 5’05” with a black spaghetti strap top and faded blue shorts.

I had the same problem. I did see a person with an "Obama for President" bumper stickerRead More and a pro- "gay" marriage sticker drive off with some plants. Another Democrat stealing property.

I am sorry to hear this happened to you. Theft from garages is kind of popular. They usually don'tRead More break in though. Glad you filed a police report and I hope you recover your property.

Sorry to say that you didn't have good information before moving to Minneapolis. Minneapolis isRead More plagued by crime, caused by the liberal mentality that prevents police from doing their jobs. Minneapolis and Hennepin County needs a strong sheriff, such as Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Arizona, to clean house and really crack down on the criminals that have destroyed vast swaths of Minneapolis.
