UPDATED: Police Searching For Missing Southwest Minneapolis Teen

Sarahi Ruiz was last seen Sunday around noon.

UPDATE 10:42 a.m. 12/3/12: Police have located Ruiz. She was found near 22nd Ave South and East 43rd Street.

Original Story:The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for residents' help in locating a missing Southwest Minneapolis teen.

Sarahi Ruiz was last seen around noon at her home near the corner of 33rd Street and Nicollet Ave South. In a statement emailed to reporters Sunday evening, police did not elaborate on the circumstances of her disappearance.

According to police:

The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 14 year old girl from south Minneapolis. The child, Sarahi Ruiz (date of birth 6-1-1998) is described as a Hispanic female, 130 pounds, 5’1” tall. She has black medium-length hair with blond tips and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone who believes they have spotted Ruiz is asked to call 911 immediately.
