Police Arrest Second Suspect in Uptown Robberies

Police think he was involved in the brutal beating and robbery of a 61-year-old.

A second arrest was made in connection with the string of violent robberies in Uptown in recent weeks.

A 21-year-old man was arrested in a car on the 3700 block of 1st Avenue South for probable cause connection to the May 10 beating and robbery of a 61-year-old man on the 2500 block of Pillsbury Avenue South.

Police plan to submit the case to the Hennepin County Attorney for charges Friday. They think the suspect is connected to other robberies in the area.
