March 7

At 9:50 a.m., a 16-year old Southwest High School student was cited for bringing a small amount of marijuana to school.

The resident of an apartment on the 100 block of West 33rd Street woke to find her door had been kicked in while she slept.

A stolen vehicle was recovered, parked on the 4900 block of Morgan Ave South. The car was towed to the Minneapolis Impound Lot until its owners could claim it.

Angry at her parents, a 17-year old girl decided to spend the night at her boyfriend's house rather than returning to her parents' home on the 3900 block of 1st Ave South. The parents reported the girl missing, but she returned home. The girl was cited for running away from home.

An 18-year old West Calhoun woman and a 17-year old boy were arrested on the 4200 block of 1st Ave South and cited for indecent exposure shortly before 11 p.m. The police report did not reveal any further details.

A guest at a home on the 2800 block of West 42nd Street stole his host's cell phone and sold it on Craigslist. When the guest—who suffers from a brain injury—was made aware of his actions, he tried to get it back. The buyer, however, told the man he would have to pay twice what he sold the phone for in order to get it back.

A resident of the 4400 block of Chowen Ave South reported their credit card number had been used to buy an iPod from an online retailer.

A 16-year old Washburn High School student was arrested and booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center on an unspecified outstanding warrant. 

March 8

A resident of the 3400 block of Emerson Ave South reported jewelry had been taken from a box in his bedroom. There are currently no suspects, and the man's apartment showed no signs of forced entry.

Burglars forced their way into a house on the 3800 block of Blaisdell Ave South between 8:30 a.m. and noon. 

Someone broke out two windows of a house on the 4400 block of 1st Ave South around 5 p.m. using an unknown object.

A 28-year old resident of the 3400 block of Colfax Ave South was robbed at gunpoint by two women on the 3300 block of Bryant Ave South as she walked home from work around 10:30 p.m. The victim was escorted home at her request.

A resident of the 3200 block of Grand Ave South reported their credit card was used to buy over $400 in women's lingerie in Flint, MI earlier that day.

A blunt object found its way through the window of a car parked in a driveway on the 4100 block of Zenith Ave South. The car's owner reported his wallet had been stolen from the car.

March 9

A 25-year old Eden Prairie man was pulled over on the 3200 block of West 44th Street shortly after 9 p.m. After police realized his car reeked of marijuana, the man and his passengers surrendered a small quantity of marijuana. The driver was cited for possessing marijuana in a motor vehicle, driving with an expired license, and driving with out-of-date insurance.

A 31-year old Page resident reported their wallet had been stolen by strangers with whom he shared a cab from the Driftwood Char Bar around 11:30 p.m. The man tried to track the cab downtown, but was unable to find the people who later used his credit card to pay for a night out on the town.

An Eagan man reported his car was broken into while he and his wife had dinner at Cafe Maude. 

A resident of the 5600 block of Nicollet Ave South called police to report her boyfriend had pushed her against the couch and threatened to kill her. Her boyfriend was gone by the time the police arrived. The victim declined medical treatment.

A resident of the 4700 block of Emerson was home when burglars tired to break into her house around lunchtime. One man managed to pry open her back door, but fled out the way he came in when confronted.

March 10

A 20-year old man reported that a known suspect took cash from his pants pockets while he was sleeping in a residence on the 5400 block of Penn Ave South.

March 11

A resident of the 5500 block of Vincent Ave South called police around 8:30 p.m. to report his domestic partner slapped and pushed him for no reason.

A truck parked in a driveway on the 5300 block of Chowen Ave South was broken into and rummaged through overnight.

A car parked in the driveway of a house on the 4500 block of Zenith Ave South was broken into overnight. The thief stole a GPS unit, the unit's mounting, and its charging cord.

A car parked in front of a house on the 5300 block of Ewing Ave South was broken into overnight. The owner's wallet was taken.
