Lyndale Man Menaces Girlfriend and Her Daughter With Baseball Bat

The man twisted the arm of his girlfriend's 11-year-old daughter and threatened both women with a wooden baseball bat.

A 29-year-old Lyndale man turned violent after his girlfriend of more than a year told him he couldn’t spend the night with her.

His girlfriend brought her 11-year-old daughter to his home on the 3300 block of Pleasant Avenue at about 2 p.m. on May 23.

When the man’s girlfriend told him that he couldn’t spend the night with her, he grabbed her daughter, twisting the girl’s arm.

He then grabbed a wooden baseball bat and swung it in an attempt to hit his girlfriend in her face, while the woman’s daughter stood directly behind her.

Both the woman and her daughter told police they thought they were going to be assaulted with the bat.

While waiving the bat, the man yelled that the two should get out of the apartment, but he stood between them and the door.

Eventually, the man left the apartment—without the bat—and was arrested by police for domestic assault.
