Great Harvest Bread Company Robbed

A roundup of crimes and incidents reported to the Minneapolis Police Department on Oct. 11 and 12.

Early Friday morning, Linden Hills’ Great Harvest Bread Company was robbed by two men.

According to a report filed with the Minneapolis Police Department, a 21-year old Minneapolis man and a 23-year old St Paul man were arrested for the 4:40 a.m. crime. The police report did not detail exactly what had been stolen, nor how police caught the two men.

Oct. 12

A car parked in a driveway behind a house on the 5700 block of Nicollet was broken into. A purse left on the car seat was taken.

Oct. 11

A 26-year old Bloomington resident was mugged on the 3500 block of Fremont Avenue South shortly before 7:30 p.m. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

A Minneapolis resident reported a man withdrew $300 from her EBT account after stealing her EBT card

Unknown suspects entered a garage on the 4500 block of Upton Avenue South overnight and stole items from a car parked inside.

A house on the 4300 block of Pillsbury Avenue South was broken into between 10 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Police said they responded to an alarm activation during that time, and the homeowner couldn’t find anything that seemed missing.

An unknown burglar broke into a garage on the 4700 block of Bryant Avenue South overnight and stole unknown items.

A car parked on the 900 block of West 38th Street was broken into overnight. According to the police report, “the loss was left in plain view.”

A burglar snuck into an apartment building’s garage on the 100 block of East 54th Street by shadowing a resident as they came in through a secure entry door. Once inside, the suspect stole several items from cars in the garage. A surveillance camera captured images of a person police believe to be culprit.

A car parked at the corner of West 36th Street and Zenith Avenue South was broken into between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

A car parked on the 4300 block of Upton Avenue South was broken into around 10 p.m.

A car parked near the corner of West 46th Street and East Lake Harriet Parkway was broken into around 7:30 a.m. and its center console damaged. Nothing was taken from the vehicle

A car parked on the 4900 block of Penn Avenue South had its drivers’ side mirror sheared off by a passing car. An anonymous witness left a note for the driver containing a partial plate number for the vehicle responsible.

At 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a “slumper” in a car parked in a no parking zone on the 5000 block of Lyndale Avenue South. The driver, a 50-year old Crystal man was sleeping behind the wheel with what officers suspected was a glass crack pipe tucked into the door armrest. As evidence, the officers seized the pipe and a handicapped placard that did not belong to the driver and had been reported missing.

A resident of the 3100 block of Pleasant Avenue South reported being the victim of a domestic assault around 10 p.m.

A car driving on Blaisdell Avenue South was pulled over for driving with its high beams on. Officers cited the driver without a valid license after routine checks showed his license had been revoked
