A resident of the 3300 block of Blaisdell Ave South had a fairly unfortunate morning, but an excellent excuse for being late to work. Around 6:30 a.m., they started their car, but realized they had left their wallet inside. They ran back into their home to grab the missing item, but when they emerged minutes later, the car had vanished. The thief barely made it 10 minutes away before smashing into another car and fleeing on foot. The police report grimly noted "the car was not driveable" after the crash.

Two 20-year old men were arrested on the 6100 block of Lyndale Ave South and booked into the Hennepin County Jail on narcotics charges just before 8 p.m. The police report reads a bit like a mad lib. It notes that police seized an unspecified quantity of "suspected marijuana," a baseball cap, and a cell phone from the men as evidence. It adds that the men are also charged with fleeing police, disorderly conduct, and obstructing justice, but it doesn't offer any more information.

A resident of the 5800 block of Lyndale Ave South told police someone had taken money from their apartment during the day. Police say they have security camera footage of a potential suspect in their possession.

A resident of the 5800 block of Lyndale Ave South told police their credit card was stolen some time in the past week. They waited to report the theft, though, because fraudulent charges were recently made on the card.

Police arrested a 35-year old man from the 4200 block of Linden Hills Boulevard on domestic violence charges. The alleged victim refused police help, but the man was booked into the Hennepin County Jail all the same for unspecified reasons.

A 21-year old woman was hospitalized after an unnamed suspect struck her in a domestic assault incident on the 5900 block of Washburn Ave South shortly after 10 p.m.
