Boyfriend Smashes Woman's Window With Weight.

A roundup of incidents and crimes reported to the Minneapolis Police Department on Sept. 20 and 21.

 After he allegedly threw a weight through the driver’s-side door of a Windom woman’s car, a 27-year old Richfield resident was cited for fifth-degree domestic assault Thursday morning, according to reports filed with the Minneapolis Police Department.

Just one day earlier, the victim had accused the man of smashing the windows of her house with rocks and other objects. The victim told police the man was her boyfriend, but that she had recently gotten a restraining order against him.

Sept. 21

A drunken driver on the 3500 block of Stevens Avenue South was cited for driving after their license had been revoked and for driving without proof of insurance.

Sept. 20

A diner at the 46th and Nicollet Bruggers reported they had accidentally left their phone on the table when they left on Sept. 1.

A cyclist on the 3100 block of Calhoun Parkway called police to report their bike was stolen between Aug. 23 and Aug. 25.

A local resident reported an unnamed valuable of theirs had disappeared from their shirt pocket on Sept. 2 while playing at Bryant Square Park.

A resident of the 3200 block of Grand Avenue South reported their credit card number had been stolen on Sept. 18 and used to buy $512.94 in jewelry at an Indian jewelry store called “Mahalak Shmi Jewelers.”

A car parked on the 3600 block of Dupont Avenue South was broken into overnight, but nothing seems to have been stolen.

A bike locked to an apartment building on the 3200 block of Girard Avenue South was stolen after thieves sawed through its u-lock.

A house on the 5600 block of Wentworth Avenue South reported that a serial burglar had struck their cars six separate times over the summer, including on Thursday night. The cars were undamaged, and their owners said they consciously keep nothing of value in their cars.

A house on the 4100 block of Harriet Avenue South was burglarized.

An officer patrolling the 3400 block of Nicollet around 11:20 p.m. cited a 16-year old for being out past curfew. The teenager was transported home.

A driver on the 5800 block of Nicollet was cited for driving without proof of insurance.

Around 5 p.m., a Park Police officer cited a 57-year old man for drinking alcohol in a public park.
