Arrested made in Tangletown Burglary

Man was allegedly a "serial business burglar."

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, a suspect in last month's burglary of a Tangletown gas station has been arrested.

The man is a suspect in 10 other smash-and-grab burglaries at metro-area gas stations, including four in Minneapolis.

Police say the man usually targeted a closed gas station like the he allegedly hit on July 18, bashed a window in, and stole a number of lottery tickets. He would then race to an open gas station and redeem the tickets before they could be reported stolen.

Police say they caught the man after getting a tip that he would be redeeming his latest haul at a Super America gas station near the University of Minnesota.
