According to the warrants, Shiloh Garvey and George Merrida are convicted felons and are barred from owning weapons. In their searches, police a 9-millimeter pistol and a .22-caliber pistol, and a box of shotgun shells were found during the search.
An anonymous caller to the Fifth Precinct Community Response Team tipped police off to Garvey and Merrida's alleged activities, claiming the pair also owned a sawed-off shotgun. Police say their investigation revealed Garvey and Merrida were using between twice and three times as much electricity as neighboring houses, and Police say they found marijuana leaves and buds when they searched the house's trash.
