After BB Gun Robbery of SLP Family Dollar, Minneapolis Duo Face Up to 20 Years

The pair stole two baskets of merchandise on Dec. 17.

A pair of Minneapolis residents are accused of robbing the St. Louis Park Family Dollar store at gunpoint.

Harold Eugene Ballard, 20, and Christina Torres, 28, are charged with one count each of felony aggravated robbery. Ballard, who has a juvenile criminal history of terroristic threats and fourth-degree assault, also faces a felony charge of possession of a firearm.

According to the criminal complaint:

Ballard and Torres entered the store on Dec. 17 while the store manager was on a cigarette break. Torres then returned to a car outside as Ballard filled two baskets with merchandise.

As he was walking out of the store, the Family Dollar clerk told him to return the merchandise, but he replied, “shut up.”

As he was entering the vehicle with the stolen merchandise, the store manager yelled, “No, no, no.”

Ballard grabbed a BB gun from the front of his pants.

“Get away from me now or I will shoot you,” he told the manager.

Ballard and Torres were later arrested at a Minneapolis apartment and Torres was identified by the store manager from a photographic lineup.

Ballard and Torres each face up to 20 years behind bars and a $35,000 fine.

The barbarians from the city of Mpls. continue to view SLP as "easy-pickings" for their violent actions. This liberal sinkhole of a state needs "Stand your ground" laws so that the store owner could have put these two violent offenders away for good!
