5-Year-Old Girl Taken to Hospital After Dog Bite

A Hopkins resident was cited for marijuana possession after she ran a red light at 31st Street and Harriet Avenue.

A five-year-old girl walking on Washburn Avenue with her mother was bit by a medium-sized dog near 48th Street. The girl was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

An Eden Prairie resident and a Minot, North Dakota, resident were cited for trespassing on the 3800 block of Nicollet Avenue while parked in front of an apartment building with their car’s engine running and the windows fogged up.

April 15

Police arrested a Minneapolis man near the 4900 block of Upton Avenue. The man, who appeared intoxicated, had a misdemeanor warrant out of Hennepin County.

Two vehicles parked in marked handicapped spaces on the 5900 block of Nicollet Avenue were cited for not displaying a handicapped permit.

April 14

A 19- and a 20-year-old parked on the 4100 block of Wentworth Avenue were cited for possession of narcotics and alcohol.

April 13

Eleven grams of marijuana were seized on the 3600 block of Lyndale Avenue. Police approached a parked car occupied by four people and smelled marijuana before searching the car and making the siezure.

A Minneapolis resident was stopped near her home on the 1400 block of 55th Street West for committing a moving violation and booked into Hennepin County Jail for driving while intoxicated.

Until convicted, all persons listed by police as suspected of committing a crime or charged with a crime by county, state, or federal prosecutors should be considered innocent.
