24-Year-Old Threatens Mother With Kitchen Knife

A Bloomington resident was searching an alley near West 55th Street for scrap metal and was tagged for driving without proof of insurance since his car was idling.

April 8

A Minneapolis resident driving northbound near the 5800 block of Nicollet Avenue was cited for driving with a revoked license after police pulled him over with a burned out headlight.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for threatening his mother with a large kitchen knife at her Nicollet Avenue home. He was booked into Hennepin County jail for domestic assault.

A Burnsville resident was booked for driving while intoxicated after forgetting to signal before turning onto 35th Street from Stevens Avenue.

April 7

A Minneapolis resident was cited for violation of city leash laws while throwing a frisbee to her medium-sized tan dog in Martin Luther King Park.

A 21-year-old Maplewood resident was booked for disorderly conduct after officers, responding to reports of a fight, found him pinning an intoxicated woman to the ground on the 3000 block of Emerson Avenue.

Officers responding to a call for damage to property cited an 18- and a 20-year-old for consumption of liquor by a minor after smelling alcohol on their breath on the 4000 block of Nicollet Avenue. Officers said the two had “blood-shot watery eyes and difficulty walking without officers’ support.”

April 6

A resident of the 4600 block of Lyndale Avenue was arrested near 34th Street and Stevens Avenue for driving under the influence of alcohol after officers pulled over his small gray SUV for driving erratically and weaving between lanes.

A Minneapolis man was cited for violating city leash laws while playing fetch with his large brown dog in Martin Luther King Park.

A Minneapolis man was cited for violating city leash laws while throwing a stick to his two dogs in Lyndale Park.

A Minneapolis resident who only had a Mexican ID card was cited for driving without insurance and failing to seatbelt his 4- and 5-year-old children. The car was impounded.

April 3

A St. Paul resident was booked for domestic assault after an incident on the 4500 block of France Avenue.

A Robbinsdale resident said she was assaulted after church at around 2:30 p.m. on the 3500 block of 43rd Street.

After officers pulled over a car near 33rd Street and Irving Avenue for failing to use a turn signal, three juveniles were cited for possession of marijuana and released to their parents.
