A MN man pleas for help to achieve a dream that will effectively help renal patients worldwide by inspiring then to change their lives.

Rosemount local man Shad Ireland is a dialysis patient that is fighting to earn a spot at Ironman Kona (the world Ironman Championships).  Running a Triathlon with kidney disease is medically impossible, and this man has completed around 10 Ironman competitions and 20 Triathlons.  He's dedicated his life to helping patients like him understand that healthy eating and exercise can improve there diagnosis and prolong their lives (most patients only live 3-5 years).

Feel free to look him up and understand the work he has done for patients nationwide: Shad Ireland

He is now 40 years old and his complications will not allow him to race at the same pace as healthy contestants.  Ironman will not let him run Handicapped, so he is making his last effort to make it to nationals by entering the contest posted below, but he need the help of as many individuals as he can get to vote everyday until July 3rd so he may win his spot.
