Thoughts Become Things

A lot of the focus in business and personal development these past few years has been on our own
psychology.  Books and tapes on personal growth talk about positive affirmations, setting goals and engaging our subconscious mind.  But the question to the innocent observer is, do these things actually make a difference?  Do they work?

At that point, thoughts go to times in the past when wishing or praying for that job opportunity, the lottery winnings or that promotion failed.  We've then proven to ourselves that all of this psychology stuff is just another gimmick.

Today I'm going to ask you to reconsider.  There's a difference between wishing and believing that what you desire is real.  It's the change between hoping that something good will come your way and knowing, to your core, that what you desire will come to fruition.  It may seem like a subtle change, but to your subconscious, it makes all of the difference in the world.

Reprogramming your subconscious can be as simple as a daily affirmation.  In Malcolm Gladwell's book, Blink, a research group proved that it can be as simple as reading a group of affirming words on a page.  I encourage you to try this for yourself.  Before you begin your work day or start a certain project, write down a list of ten words that are affirming.  Words that you associate with success in what you are about to accomplish.  Then perform your task and be aware of your mindset.  I guarantee you that it will be different than if you hadn't done the exercise.  In the book, subjects took exams that should have been easy to complete but first, they were subjected to either a list of positive affirmations or a list of negative ones.  Those who were subjected to the negative list did not perform as well - by a wide margin.

Sometimes it is easy to work these affirmations, goals or positive thoughts into our daily life.  There are times, though, when this can seem impossible.  Not because we don't have time, but because we can't even begin to imagine positivity in our life.  In these tough mental spaces, outside support is necessary.

When we get depressed about our current job situation, home or overall outlook on life, we draw more of this negativity towards ourselves.  We get into the mindset of "if I could just move to a different place or if I could just find another job."  In reality, the thing that can bring you the most happiness and success is finding love and joy in your life as it is.  From there, the real growth can happen.
We often hear about homeopathy when it comes to relief of physical symptoms - colds, flu, pain, but homeopathy offers so much more.  If you are in that depressed mental place where you can't even imagine your goals, that is the place that homeopathy works.  Homeopathic care can offer you the emotional and mental balance from which you can create the life that you've always wanted.

Thinking about going back to school, making a job change or finding your passion?  Homeopathy can help you find and keep your balance, making your goals, your path,  and your future clear.
