Partners in Peace: Armistice Day Commemoration

Monday, November 11, 2013 join us for our annual celebration of Armistice Day!

Veterans, family, friends and interested parties are invited. We’ll be in Brit’s Pub’s Clubhouse Lounge – the beautiful wood paneled room on the top level that overlooks Peavy Plaza. The veterans of WWI have all left us, so we will remember their courage, toast their memory, and sing their anthems. The program portion begins at 7 p.m.

Commemoration includes Allied partners, and we've even added the Germans as a symbol that the war is long over, and the grandchildren of the WWI veterans can live in peace and friendship.

Observance includes color guard, poems, readings, remembrances from veterans and friends, along with a bagpiper, bugler, and bell ringing.

No admission charge for this event. Food and beverage may be ordered from the Brit's Pub menu, and specials to be offered. Join us to commemorate the Peace achieved by Allied Nations with the 1918 signing of the Armistice that ended WWI.

This year marks the 95th anniversary!

Join us in remembrance and reflection.
