Looking out the window Wednesday morning, Southwest Minneapolis residents could be forgiven for wondering if a snow emergency might be in the offing.
Large, fluffy snowflakes are floating down on the area, looking for all the world like a heavy snowfall.
The short answer, though, is "No."
The National Weather Service predicts that those big flakes will only result in a half-inch of accumulation. If a snow emergency is declared, the City of Minneapolis will post a notice on its website and sent notifications to media outlets like Patch.
