Parking spaces metered by the City of Minneapolis will be free on New Year's Day. University of Minnesota meters are typically free on university holidays like New Year's Day, but make sure to read your meter's details to be sure. Park Board parking meters are enforced every day.

Shipping Presents Home

The UPS Store closes at 5:30 on New Year's Eve, but will be open normal hours on New Year's Day.

Post Offices will close at noon on New Year's Eve and will be closed all day on New Year's Day.

Groceries

The Linden Hills Co-Op will have normal hours on New Year's Eve and will open at 10 a.m. on New Year's Day (as opposed to the normal 8 a.m.).

Cub Foods will be open normal hours on both days.

Kowalski's will close at 7 p.m. on New Year's Eve, and will close at 8 p.m. on New Year's Day.
