When: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

What: Councilmember John Qunicy will be on hand to help celebrate Mayor RT Rybak's declaration of Dec. 10, 2011 as "Minneapolis Homebrew Day." Local professional brewers from Surly Brewing, Lucid Brewing, and Pour Decisions Brewing Company will also be in there.

What: Award-winning children's author comes to Wild Rumpus.

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Adagio Cafe at 50th and Penn

What: Songs about beer breath, old presidents, recalcitrant body parts, disgraced planets, undervalued domestic cars, and old-fashioned thermometers. Bring a canned or boxed food item for the VEAP food shelf and get a free CD!

Owner Chris Yeager will also be preparing cheesecake for the event.

When: 9 a.m.

Where: , 5835 Lyndale Ave S,

What: A special worship service with a unique telling of the Christmas story mixed with choral pieces performed by the Richfield UMC Chancel Choir and hymns sung by the congregation.
